I Finally Figured It Out: This is What's Wrong with the World

Partial outline of Mr. Big Food's and my joint project. Do you see what's wrong with MS word's view of The World?

For the record, it goes like this: 

I.
  A.
     1.
        a.
           i.

Or something like that. MS Word does it like this:

I.
  A.
     i.
      1.
        i.

Why would you do that? Seriously? Why?

I just looked at some crappy old books and they all agree.

The Reason the World is Going to Hell in a Hand-Basket is that No One Knows How to Outline.

People don't know their i's from their MS i's.
