Recipe: Frosted Ham Loaf

Great as a leftover, too!

Great dish for left over ham!

FROSTED HAM LOAF
Serves 8

½ lb bulk pork sausage (any flavor)
1 1b cooked ham, ground
1 C small bread cubes, crusts removed
2 Tbsp prepared mustard (preferably homemade—see recipes in Basics section)
1 tsp salt
2 eggs, beaten
½ C milk
2 C mashed potatoes
Melted butter

Preheat oven to 375°. Mix together all ingredients except mashed potatoes and melted butter. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 45 minutes-1 hour or until done. Drain any fat from loaf pan, let cool slightly, and turn loaf onto a cookie sheet. Raise oven temperature to 425o. Frost with mashed potatoes and brush with melted butter. Return to oven until potatoes are nicely browned.
