Aggie over at Shoestring Manor has nominated Big Food, Big Garden, Big Life for a Liebster Award! Thank you, Aggie!
As I understand it, the Liebster Award is sort of like a chain letter for small-time bloggers-- there's no actual award associated with the Award. Humm... much as there is no actual dinner guests or conversations at imaginary dinner parties. But it is an honor to be nominated! You can read a bit more about the Liebster Award's origins at Sopphey Says.
"Nominees" must have blogs with fewer than 200 follows. Big Food, etc. has four official followers, so I qualify. The nominated blogger in turn nominates 11 others by posting a nomination to each of their blogs (as a comment).
The nominee is required to do three things in a blog post.
1) Provide for his/her blog's readers 11 "random facts" about him/herself. (Did you know that Aggie's "biggest fashion statement is an apron?")
2) Answer a set of 11 questions developed by the person who nominated him/her. (Aggie's favorite comfort food is onion soup. Now we know.)
3) Develop a set of 11 questions for his/her nominees. (Ha. Aggie wants to know if I prefer books or movies.)
The only other rule is no "tag backs"-- I cannot nominate Shoestring Manor.
Alrighty then! Let's get started.
First-- here're Aggie's responses to D. Marie's (Lesson's on the Cheap) questions.
11 Random Facts About Me:

Good Lord.
This has been an instructive exercise. That I cannot easily list 11 little blogs means ... Good Lord. On the other hand, I did find Lessons on the Cheap. And I remembered Bread Basket. She's gone silent, but if you love bread, you'll love perusing her archives. Not sure about Extranto but I liked this:
The Stranger is a long time gun crank and pro-gun advocate, as well as a numbers guy. If you cannot measure and enumerate it, it is no better than a rumor.Of course, I would want to ask some questions about measuring. Like, you know, what are your thoughts about the Likert Scale?
Congratulations! But, I have a question...
ReplyDeleteDid you really want to be a forester when you grew up,
Yep. At that stage in my life I liked forests better than people. Funny, huh?
DeleteOh. And a comment. You're a 10 on being handy/creative. You can rig some stuff up and tie the best bow I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteMust be reverse genetics. If I'm a 10 , you're a 12.
DeleteWhat about Pare and Focus?
ReplyDeleteI thought about that.
DeleteThanks so much for the nomination! I have won it before so have done slightly a different version for my post - but thank you for thinking of me! PS I am one of those handy ones but not that creative. I fix things hubby can't like the vacuum cleaner but cannot craft at all. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome! Your blog is very creative!
DeleteThank you for the kind nomination Marica! I like your questions and will try and return and give you some responses as you have taken the time to come up with some serious ones. To be honest number 9 is one I haven't given too much consideration as I am not a resident of the state, nor do I live in a border state, but I will give sincere reflection before I respond.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Jennifer
You are welcome. I do enjoy your blog!
