Part of a Big Czech meal! |
Another good knedle recipe, and it doesn’t take as long to
prepare as the Steamed ones. This one is from Mr. Big Food's great aunt, Tait.
TAIT’S KNEDLIKS
2 ½ C flour
1 tsp salt
1 ½ tsp baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
¾ C milk
Sift flour, salt, and baking powder. Add eggs and milk,
mixing well. On a floured board, shape into two oblong balls (“like two footballs”).
Boil a big pot of water and drop in the two knedliks. Cover and boil 20
minutes. Remove to a platter and slice.
