My perusal of prose and poetry regarding Decoration Day lead me to believe there was once an appreciation for the lives fallen soldiers left behind.
A feral cat has sequestered her litter of three little kittens in a box in our garage. That's the sort of thing a Farm Boy-- tuned Soldier-- would have understood.
That's the life he died for.
I'm only seeing two kittens here.
