I just want to be

a Farmer outstanding in my field.
Like these two ladies!

(By the way-- they pulled up some of your line the other day.)

  1. It looks like they're growing all that good stuff in pure sand.

I have the opposite problem - nearly pure clay. I can barely get a fork in to turn it over - and then can't break up the large clods because they're so hard. I've decided to more or less give it up and dig trenches, add bought garden soil and plant in that. Eventually, I'll have a garden full of decent garden soil. Maybe.

    1. IN FACT, they are growing in East Texas soil.

I've seen this garden and it's not sand. They have worked it for a number of years.
