A few chosen folks-- in addition to family members-- have a standing invitation to visit the Farm. A standing invitation means these chosen few do not need to give us any advanced warning notice that they are coming. Prior to 4pm yesterday, Sam had been the only one who'd come close to exercising his standing invitation-- but in the end he'd called when he was three hours away.
By the way, A. Leland lives in Chicago and is rapidly becoming a full-fledged Libertarian. Cause & effect.
