Recipe: Pan Fried Round Steaks

Danged good! But then again it is a simple recipe.

Mr. Big Food used minute steaks instead of round streaks. And if I'm not mistaken, he used the electric skillet rather than a skillet on the stove.

Don't fear the meat tenderizer. It's not like you cook with it every day.

PANFRIED ROUND STEAK

Serves 5

1 ½ lbs beef round steak, ½ inches thick, cut into 5 serving pieces
Instant meat tenderizer
Flour
Hot shortening

Use instant meat tenderizer on steaks according to label directions. Don’t salt steaks. Coat meat immediately with flour and cook quickly in small amounts of hot shortening, just until browned on both sides.
